Today, we board our transpacific flight bound for Tokyo, the capital of Japan.

Our flight arrives in Narita Airport where we board a domestic flight bound for Sapporo, the 5th largest city of Japan and the capital of Hokkaido. Dinner at Narita Airport Hotel: Chitose Nikko Hotel or similar

| Sapporo - Sounkyo Gorge (B/L/D) |
|
After breakfast, we journey to Farm Tomita at Furano, a beautiful farm famous for its lavender gardens. When the lavenders are in bloom, the entire farm is blanketed with purple and the air is filled with relaxing fragrance. Proceed to a wine factory and observe the process of making red wine. After lunch, we continue on to the Sounkyo Gorge to view the spectacular gorge and waterfall sceneries resembling the Milky Way and shooting stars. Tonight, enjoy a great opportunity to relax yourself in hot spring. Hotel: Sounkaku Grand Hotel or similar

| Sonkyo Gorge - Icebreaker Cruise (only available from 1/20–4/5) - Lake Akan (B/L/D) |

Begin our day by visiting the Northern Fox Farm, where we can see cute and playful fox (feeding not allowed). Next, we travel to Ice Floe Museum to see ice floe drifted from the North during wintertime. (During the opening period, we take a cruise on an Icebreaker to view unexpected delights, such as sights of picturesque snow covered scenes sea lions resting on ice floe.) After lunch, we continue our tour to Abashiri Prison Museum, an open-air museum that was actually in use during the Meiji era. Our last stop today at Lake Akan, a beautiful lake where Marimo, a rare spherical algae species grows. Tonight, we can enjoy and relax ourselves in hot spring pools again. Lake Mashu is a foggy and mysterious lake famous for the clarity of its water in the world. We then travel back to Sapporo for a visit at the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, which is also known nicknamed “Red Brick” because it was constructed with approximately 2.5 millions of red bricks. The Clock Tower was built in 1878 and is now a popular Sapporo landmark. Tonight, enjoy a Hokkaido grilled buffet for dinner. Hotel: Sapporo Keio Plaza Hotel or similar

After breakfast, we travel to Otaru to view its beautiful canal district. The construction of Otaru Canal began in 1914 and took nine years to completion. Proceed to Orgel Hall, followed by Kitaichi Glass Shop. After lunch, explore the Ishiya Chocolate Museum and enjoy a valuable opportunity to learn the process of making chocolate at your own expense. We then continue our tour to Tanukikoji Shopping Street, followed by Susukino Nightlife District, Japan’s largest entertainment district where it is packed with restaurants, stores, movie theaters, bars and more. |
A morning visit to the Hokkaido Shrine, where it serves as the site for holding annual major festivals and ceremonies. Odori Park is located in the center of Sapporo and it is the site for staging the annual Sapporo Snow Festival in February. Later, transfer to airport for your homebound flight or flight to a selected Asian city.
